Still here…..

Thankfully we are still COVID-19 free and doing our best to stay that way.  We did FINALLY go to lunch with friends this past Friday and actually eat inside of the restaurant.  All the tables were separated  by heavy, hanging sheets of plastic…we wore our mask going in and coming out…and the food was fabulous.  This was a Korean restaurant, our friends are Chinese, and we don’t know much about Korean foods but they did, so we had Eva order for us.  We’ve eaten there before and we’ll definitely go again…at some point.  Delicious!!!

We did have some family birthdays the last couple of weeks…Tanya on the 2nd, Lori on the 6th, Jim Jr (Jimbo) on the 7th, and Scott on the 10th.  We have Byron bringing up the rear on the 25th and we’ll wish him a Happy Birthday then.  All of our kids are sure packing on the years, and for that I’m so thankful.

On the 17th, at Melissa and Byron’s house, we are going to gather…hopefully outside…to honor Kyle and Gabby on their upcoming marriage.  We pray they will have a long, and happy, life together.  As of yesterday, Kyle passed the level 7 test…which Daniel said is quite a hard test to pass…towards becoming a financial advisor.  He works hard and that’s all going to eventually pay off.  Congratulations to him on passing the test and to them both on the upcoming marriage.

Carter and Lori closed on their Franklin home yesterday and will close on their new-to-them lake home in Alabama on Monday, and their furniture will arrive on Tuesday.  So much fun for them to empty one large house…with the help of the moving men…then to move into another large house. This is a big move and they are both excited about it.  We hope to go see them before to much longer, but we will give them plenty of time to get settled so we’ll avoid having to help unbox all those boxes.

Scott, Allison, Neylan, and Turner all got back home Friday night after almost a week in Orlando… visited Universal Studio park.  They said they had a great vacation and the boys loved it….all a big surprise to them since Scott and Allison hadn’t told them where they were going.  It was the first plane ride for the boys, too, and Neylan was excited while Turner wasn’t so sure.  Ended up they both thought flying was the way to go.  Sure beats those LONG hours in the car!

Buddy had successful eye surgery recently and is doing well from that.  L & L said he had a tumor on the cornea, I believe, and they couldn’t do the cataract surgery until that was removed.  Glad that’s over with and he did well.

Thanks to the latest hurricane to hit the USA, we are finally getting a little rain.  The weather man had been predicting we’d get a lot of rain, but we have NOT.  We are thankful for what we’ve gotten as the yard sure needed a good drink.

Guess that’s about it for now.  As far as I know everyone is still healthy and staying busy.  Wear your mask, avoid big crowds, and always social distance.  Love to you all.

Blessings…..
