SURPRISE!!!!

How is it that I seldom even think about blogging on here? My life isn’t all that exciting but I do seem to stay busy, on most days. Last week I spent almost the whole week helping a friend, in our life group, get ready for her move. She didn’t want to move but the previous landlord died and now his heirs are selling the apartments he owned for many years…if she wanted to stay until a sale was final they only upped the rent a couple hundred dollars a month and she sure couldn’t afford that. I can honestly say that God worked out this move for her and she is now thrilled with her new place…depression is also hard to deal with in all of this mix.

We are looking forward to seeing Blake walk this Saturday at the UK commencements as he is “almost” finished with getting his degree. He’ll finish up a class, or two, this summer but he’s walking Saturday. Not sure what his future plans are but he will do well whatever he finds. Then on the 9th we will be going to Nashville to visit with Linda, Jim, Lawrence, Linda, and Buddy and that should be fun…it’s been a while since we’ve been with any of them. On the 10th we’ll head to Carter and Lori’s for a couple of days, leaving there early on the 12th for Colton’s graduation from Ole Miss. He’s getting his Master’s and we are very proud of his hard work in getting this accomplished while teaching school full time. The school he’s currently working in is for troubled kids and it’s been a challenge. After the graduation, and any fun stuff that might follow, we’ll be heading to see Scott, Allison, Neylon, and Turner before we’ll head home on Monday. This will be a busy week but oh so much fun seeing everyone.

We still don’t have a set date for the biopsy for George just yet, but they said there was no big rush so we’re not stressing to much. He feels good and acts good, most days, so we’re thankful for that. We do want that done so we’ll know what needs to be done to ensure his health stays good. Keep praying for this to get done this month.

We’ll get to celebrate his birthday while at Scott’s and looking forward to being there for Mother’s Day, too. I still have great memories of his 75th birthday, along with Mother’s Day, and all you kids showing up and surprising us. What a special time that was and so very appreciated.

Guess that’s about all for now. I love any, and all…if there is any, that read this blog from me. Life is good, I’m very healthy for a 81 year old, and thankful for all things that come my way. We even have sunshine today which has become rare this spring…but the wind is still blowing. Enjoy your week.

Blessings…..
