I have had way to much cold weather since we’ve gotten home from Florida and I’m so ready for it to stop. In just this month…which is only 13 days long…we have set six (6) record lows! I’m tired of being cold!!! Normally most of April, and almost all of May, are good months to not need to run the heat or the AC. But not this year. The heat has run almost constantly and, therefore, there will be no break on the utilities. I do know that once we get past all this cold we’ll most likely jump right into HOT summer. That’s what we did last year. I really like the heat a whole lot better than this cold so I will welcome it gladly. As a side note…it’s raining AGAIN and nothing but GLOOM outside.
We continue to do what we’re suppose to do…stay home, wear a mask when we have to go out, and enjoy life. This isn’t a whole lot different than our normal…we don’t wear a mask but we do stay home. I guess just the idea of not being able to go out to shop when, and where, is different. I’ve missed the restaurants, even though we have gotten carry out a couple of times…just not the same ‘cause it’s always cold by the time we get back to Wilmore. I feel sure this will go on for quite a while yet. Hopefully, the vaccine, if and when it’s available, will take care of it. Of course, we have those that will refuse the vaccine so I guess it just might be a concern for the long haul. CODVID-19 has sure brought the world to their knees and just goes to show us all how fragile our health, and life, really is.
Tomorrow will be George’s 78th birthday and I’m so thankful for him and his life. We’ve had some scary events during these last four/five years but all seems to be doing good for now. He continues to bless my life, each and every day, and I’m looking forward to enjoying him having more adventures and birthdays.
