Spring has sprung…somewhere

Somewhere spring has truly “sprung” but, here in central Kentucky, we’re hanging on to winter for dear life.  Last weekend Linda and Jim coming for the weekend and old man winter was really showing off.  We were blessed with cold, wind, rain, sleet, snow, and lots of slush but very little sunshine.  Rain has continued throughout this week and will continue for a few more days.  The kids will, most likely, be hunting Easter eggs inside this year…or not at all…as more rain, and snow, is being predicted.    I saw some children hunting eggs last Sunday afternoon just before the rain began again.  Guess early is better than late when the Easter bunny has already brought all those candies and eggs.

We enjoyed having Linda and Jim here, in spite of the weather.  After dinner on Friday evening we went to see “I Can Only Imagine” and we all loved it.  I would recommend everyone take the time to go see it.  On Saturday, we went over to see Chance, Emily, and Jackson for a few minutes and they are all doing well.  Jackson is so cute, happy, good natured, and sweet.  He’s definitely the pride and joy of us all.  Then we had the Crockett’s join us for dinner and that was fun.  We haven’t had them over for quite a while so it was fun having them but sure missed Jerod and Meredith.  Sunday was church, lunch, and then they decided to head for home hoping to get there before dark.  Unfortunately they got home long after dark…the parkway was closed for 2 1/2 hours due to a very serious accident that took the lives of two children…a 4 year old and a 2 year old.  Thankful for our time together and that they did get home safe and sound.  Sure hope they’ll come back again soon.

Guess that’s about it for now.  March is almost over and I sure hope we don’t have another month of “April showers” since March blessed us with so many.  Of course, come July, we’ll be praying for them to return.

Keep praying for Jerre to have some pain free days and healing.  I’m so thankful for all our family members, friends, and that Jesus is alive today.  I am blessed!

Blessings….
