It dawned on me yesterday that it’s been weeks since I shared my boring life. We don’t do much more than our normal stuff and that’s never exciting.
We did enjoy having Linda and Jim for a couple of days a few weeks ago. Of course, the weather was yucky while they were here, but we did see a good movie…”I Can Only Imagine”…and got to spend a little time with Chance, Emily, and Jackson. Jackson is so adorable and such a good, and happy, baby…such a blessing to that family.
Easter was uneventful as all the Easter egg hunters are grown up, or we didn’t get to be with them…Neyland and Turner. Times do change but life continues on and for that we are thankful.
I managed to survive my 5K this past Saturday and I believe the weather was even worse than when Linda and Jim were here. It was very windy, snowing, and just plain cold…wind chill of 18 degrees. I’ve walked a 5K many times before but this one was one of the hardest and I think it was because of the wind and cold. Of course, my age, and lack of training, may have played a bigger part but I’m willing to blame it on the weather.
Spring is having a very difficult time of staying around or else winter won’t let go. This has been one of the coldest springs on the books for our area. We’ll probably just skip spring and jump right into summer which would be OK with me. I still do NOT like cold and that’s all we’ve had since we’ve gotten home from Florida.
The grandkids are counting the days until school is out, but with the teachers protesting, they may get to stay in class until June. Baseball season has started and those are always fun…but not so much with the current cold temperatures. Tyler is looking forward to his graduation and what all the future holds for him…University of Alabama and the Air National Guard….Madi has a new dog and is thrilled….and all the others are doing well, as far as we know.
Guess that’s it for now. Keep praying for Jerre as he did receive a good report on all his recent test…as did Linda. Have a great rest-of-the-week and know you are all loved by me.
