What to do, what to do?

Being restricted to home hasn’t been that bad for me.  After all, i’ve been at home the last 57+ years doing the same things I’m doing today.  What I find difficult is not being able to go to the grocery, etc when I need something.  I’m becoming quite creative with using stuff from the freezer that’s been there for who-knows-how-long.  Yesterday I made homemade chicken pot pies and they were quite good…surprisingly.  I do believe that was a first for them and I will definitely make them again.

We are taking this virus serious, one more so that the other, and getting lots done around the house.  The last couple of days we’ve worked in the yard and it looks nice.  On Wednesday,  I got all the weeds out of the back flower bed…that one was a huge weed bed and it took me almost all afternoon to get that done along with spread the mulch on it.  BIG JOB FOR THIS OLD GIRL!!!  Yesterday i did the front beds but very few weeds there so it didn’t take long at all.  We, also, got the front porch cleaned up and the cushion back out.  Of course, the weather is suppose to get cooler again but it surely won’t last long.  We do enjoy our porch time….George especially.

My next big task is to wash all the windows but that’s something I don’t really mind doing since I got my Norwex window cloths.  If you don’t have some…GET THEM.  It makes this job super easy and no streaks are left behind.

The ‘blue house’ is at a stand still and I need to do some things over there but just can’t seem to get the desire to do so.  We’ve previously completed a good cleaning but we need to do some painting touch-up but can’t find the left over paint to do so and we can’t go to Lowe’s to buy more.  The windows need washing over there, too.  Guess that will all still be there when life gets back to normal.  Wonder when that will be??????

All our graduating seniors are still bummed…Jerod, Rebekah (future wife), Meredith, and Grayson…but they each know we’ll do something to celebrate their accomplishments at some point.  It is a shame that all graduations and events were cancelled and not just postponed.  Oh well, life can be full of disappointments and we all learn from them.

Guess that’s about it for now.  Stay inside, stay well, and keep smiling!  Love to you all…Clark may be  the only one that still reads this Grandma blog, so Hey to Clark!

Blessings……
