Fall Has Arrived For Today

It has been about 2 1/2 months since I’ve posted anything on here and what an unusual time this has been. On July 29th George became very ill and was subsequently in the hospital for the entire month of August. Needless to say, I was in no way ever thinking about blogging. I was mainly just surviving from day to day. There were a couple of times I really thought George was not going to survived, but thanks to the Good Lord, the prayers of many, and a wonderful medical staff, he survived. He is almost back to 100% and if it wasn’t for his lower back/leg hurting, I think he just might be. He laid flat on his back for almost three weeks and that’s what has caused his back to act up again. PT is helping and he will continue with that for a while longer.

We had decided to sell the “blue house” before George got ill and that has been a good decision on our part. Our last guest left on August 22 and once I got it back to “clean”, new carpet installed in two bedrooms and the small hall, Melissa came to our rescue. She made some suggestions, I completed most of them, and she then came and put a “Sale by Owner” sign in the yard with her phone number on it. She said for the next few days her phone was blowing up with calls, text messages, etc. A contract was given for the full price and we accepted it all within 36-48 hours. We’re suppose to close on October 15 and then I’ll have to decide what to do with all the stuff that is currently in it. George will be able to help with most of that, thankfully, and I will donate all we don’t sell. I had hoped it’d sell as a business and they would keep all the stuff but it’s a single family dwelling home and that’s how it sold.

This week fall showed up here in Wilmore and that’s been very refreshing. I’m sure summer will return off/on for several more weeks but this no AC/Heat time is always a good time. Like those lower utility bills!

We’re still planning on going to Florida this winter and this will be our first year to do three months vs our normal two. Hope it goes well and we will most definitely rest, relax, and continue to heal while there. We have some really sweet friends there and it’s always good spending some time with them. Of course, COVID is still an issue, which will limit our in house activities again, but visiting on the beach is a really big plus.

Guess I’ll go for a walk and enjoy this beautiful day. Have a great weekend and wear your mask. We don’t want any getting Delta, COVID, or the Flu. Love to all…probably only Clark is still hangin in here with me…but I do hope to be back on here before to many weeks fly by.

Blessings……
