July….

What a day July 1st was. Our day started out with heavy, heavy rain…got over 4 inches…but ended with some beautiful clouds and sunshine. Now today we are going to celebrate Kyle and Allison…from afar…as they are both having birthday’s. Actually we get to celebrate Jesse, Jerod, and Sean this month along with Kyle and Allison. So thankful for each of them and so blessed they are all a part of our crew.

George has started his radiation treatment and has completed four, so far. We understood he’d only be getting 20 but he’ll actually be getting 28. He’ll be done after the first week of August.and we are expecting great success.

We went to Knoxville on the 25th of June to watch Neyland and Turner compete in their travel track team events. That event was a regional qualifying meet and they now go to Houston to compete Nationally…at some point. These are track clubs and there were thousands of people that competed. They decided to do track in order to stay in better shape for football this fall. Hope they do well but to have even qualified is quite an accomplishment.

George enjoyed his 61st high school reunion on the 18-19th of June along with 10 more selected classmates…I, along with another wife, were the only odd ones. They all had wild stories, seemed to enjoy catching up with each other, and they would like to do it again, but we’ll see. This group has aged fairly well so they just might do it again.

We’ve had some really hot days so far and can only imagine what July and August will bring. The rain gave everything a good drink and we’ll have a few pleasant days before the heat returns.

There’s really no news of interest. Continue to pray for George, Chipper, Marjorie, Megan, and Porter as they each have need for healing. Enjoy your summer and I’ll try to be back on here before August hits. Love to all.

Blessings….
