Almost a month…

I guess we can all guess what we’ve been doing for this last month.  NOTHING!!!!  We take this virus serious and have no desire to contact it.  George and I are both considered high risk…his diabetes and stroke issues while mine is due to my autoimmune disease of Celiac…so we practically stay put daily.  We continue to do church on the front porch, wear mask any time we’re out, have not eaten in a restaurant since we left Florida the last day of February…we did eat out on an outdoor patio twice and away from all others…wore mask except while eating.  We’ve gotten carry out a couple of times, but we try to get curbside even then.  We’re still hoping to get to go to Florida this winter but guess time will tell if that’ll be possible.

George continues to do his magic out in his shop and has created some really beautiful pieces.  A couple of items were from wood a friend gave him so he in turn gave them the pieces he created.  Lucky for them as I loved all of them.  The guest house continues to be in operation but still much slower than what our normal months have been in the past.  We always wear a mask, gloves, and sanitize everything we think the guest had touched while there before we start cleaning.  It’s time consuming but worth it to us.  Many are wanting just a one night stay as they are traveling and don’t trust the big motels/hotels.  These are definitely not my favorites because of the laundry, if for no other reason, but business is still business and we’ll accept them gladly.  We’re still getting cancellations as weddings are being cancelled, or done in individual homes, etc. but that’s understandable, too.  Oh well, this too shall pass and we want to be around to see what the new normal really is like.  Should be interesting while we continue to mask up.

I keep myself busy reading, cleaning, doing laundry, crocheting, knitting, or just trying to keep my flowers alive in this massive heat/humidity we’ve been enjoying for weeks now, and very little rain.  We both seem to stay somewhat busy each day so we don’t get bored out of our minds…not yet anyway.

George did have three basil cell places cut off his face and one…on the side of his nose…was the big one.  They had to do a skin graft and it’s currently in a very ugly stage.  Next Tuesday they take the gauze off that’s been stitched to the hole they made and he’ll finally get to see what they really did to him.  He’s had this done several times now but this was the first one that required a skin graft.  Hope they won’t have to do any more EVER.

Guess that’s about it for now so guess I’ll go back to doing nothing!  Stay well, safe, and know you are loved by me…I do believe that only Clark is left reading this so many thanks to him.

Blessings…….
