Where has the time gone?

I do believe it’s been a while since I’ve written on here.  Guess what!!!  Still nothing of interest going on around here.  We are very respectful of the possibility of us getting COVID-19, which means we are pretty much always at home, so that is what we do…stay home.  We continue to do church on the front porch, wear a mask when we are at the guest house, grocery, etc. and only see other people on the porch or in the back yard at a socially acceptable distance.

We are having some plumbing issues currently and that’s a huge mess.  They have found the blockage…under the magnolia tree which has LOTS of roots,.so they are having to reroute the water line and the sewer line around it.  This is very time consuming and a rather costly challenge to boot.  Guess all the money we’ve saved by not going anywhere, or out to eat, will be going to Roto Rooter.  I’ll be glad to have our home no longer gurgling, watter backing up into the shower stall, and smelling the unforgettable smell of the sewer.  I’ll be able to wash clothes, run the dishwasher, and take a shower without worry of bad things happening.

We are sad that we felt the need to cancel our trip to Florida with Carter and Lori…again, the virus scare.  The last we heard from Carter, they weren’t sure they’d be going since the hurricane hit right where they have reserved a big house.  I’m thankful none of us were there when the hurricane hit ‘cause it sure did a lot of damage with the wind, flooding, etc.  I feel for the people there, and especiall, for the people in the west loosing everything to the fires.  Life can sure be hard for a lot of people in a lot of different ways.

Louisville is being destroyed and the safety of everyone is at risk.  Of course, my concern for Lacey is very strong.  She’s with the best of the best trying to control the worse of the worse.  It’s really bad when the city, and the police department, are telling everhyone to stay out of Louisville.  If you have business, cancel it…if you are coming for any reason or driving on the interstate, stay home or go a different route.  So sad and so evil in so many ways.  Pray Lacey stays safe…along with all the others than are trying to maintain some m
