Spring is unbalanced…

Our quaint little town of Wilmore has so many beautiful flowering trees, and plants, but the actual daily weather seems to remain iffy. Some days are truly beautiful, warm, and amazing and then the next day we’re back to almost winter with the heat back on in the house. I am thankful for each day but those beautiful days are right at the top of my likes.

In just one more week Meredith and Colton will become Mr. and Mrs. it’s such an exciting time but, also, it can become so busy some of the enjoyment seems to be getting lost in the “gotta get it done” category. It will be a beautiful ceremony, regardless, and many memories will be made…just want them all to be happy ones.

Tomorrow is Mother’s Day and I am so blessed to be the Mother to five of the best people I know. Not a one of them is perfect but I wouldn’t change any of them because that would mean they are no longer who they really are. Being a Mother to many was a hard, tiring, and thankless job but one I’m so very proud I got to experience. Being a stay-at-home-mom was the best job for me and because George worked hard, he enabled me to have that job.

George will be having a birthday in one week and his gift from me arrived yesterday. I got him a Solo fire pit that can be used on the deck and we enjoyed out first fire last night…even in the rain. Meredith, Grayson, and Blake came to enjoy it with us ,along with a cup of hot chocolate, and I expect we’ll use this far more that the one out in the back of our yard. His birthday is on the day of the wedding rehearsal so there won’t be much birthday celebrating happening that night, I’m sure. He’s special to all of us, and deserves to be celebrated, so we’ll do so throughout this whole week. Happy early birthday!

Nothing much to write about for now so I’ll get busy with whatever I can find to do. Seems I run out of stuff to do now that the “blue house” is occupied long term but I’m sure I can find something more enjoyable that cleaning or washing sheets.

Have a great week and thanks to each of our daughters for being such great moms to our grandchildren, and now to the grandchildren that have given us great-grandsons. Being a Mother is the best, but being a Mimi is fantastic…and a Gigi is beyond words. Love to you all.

Blessings…..
