What a busy month…

The month of May will soon be coming to an end and it’s sure been packed with lots of good stuff. The month began hanging on to Old Man Winter and didn’t seem to want to let go; but, thankfully it did.

We got to celebrate George’s 79th birthday at Meredith and Colton’s rehearsal dinner. Although there was really no birthday celebration at that dinner, it was a very good dinner and the country club when it was held did a great job in making it special.

On the 15th we got to witness the wedding of the year! It was a beautiful event and Meredith was so beautiful in her gown while Colton was very handsome in his new suit. The outdoor reception was spectacular…except for the catering which did a very poor job. They were 1 1/2 hours late in arriving to set up…because the lady said she had to go to Hobby Lobby…, presentation wasn’t good, and a refund will be expected. Time, and maybe a lawyer, will see if that happens. Even with Covid still in town, this evening was spectacular and enjoyed by all. Can you believe we won the couples dance for having been married the longest (59 years next month)? Jim and Linda came in second with almost 55 years of marriage.

George finally got to see the oncologist and he’ll be treated for his prostrate cancer by radiation…every week day for a month. Keep praying that the radiation will completely destroy those nasty cancer cells, please and thank you. He feels good , has the normal aches and pains of being 79, and it hasn’t changed his life in any way, so far.

Mom’s birthday would have been celebrated on the 20th and she would have been 102. I miss her but I’m thankful she’s no longer living with the pain she suffered for so many years due to her back. She was a sweet lady and kept her spunk till the end.

Guess that’s about all for the month of May. Spring was beautiful and summer has arrived a few weeks early…88 predicted for today and no rain. We had lots of rain the first half of the month and now not a drop. Guess that gives us something to complain about…either to much rain or not enough. That’s certainly OK as every season sure beats the cold of winter. Love to you all and have a great week.

Blessings……
