When we arrived here in Venice, FL on December 1, 2021 three months seemed rather far away. Well, here it is February 15, 2022 and it’s almost time to start packing up to go back home. Three months have just flown by and that’s really just how life goes by…FAST.
We haven’t ventured out much due to the COVID issues that are still rather active here, but we have had a great three months. February has had more “colder” days, with lots of wind, so we haven’t been to the beach a whole lot. The days we did get to go, we found that everyone else had the same idea. We always managed to finally find a parking spot and then a small place to put up the umbrella in the sand. I LOVE the beach and everything about it. Thankfully, George is a good sport and comes along for the few hours we’ll be there. Beaching is not really very high on his list of fun things to do.
I did have an amazing 80th birthday and that’s another hard thing to accept. 80!!! Now we’re talking OLD even though I don’t feel like I think you should feel when you’ve lived this long. George took me to dinner at a very nice restaurant and I was very surprised to see five of our good friends waiting there to join in the celebration. It was truly a very special time. George, also, gave me a gift card to a spa that I’m going to use before we leave. I’m so blessed to have married him, birthed our five fantastic kids, enjoy the 15 grandkids, and I now pray I will get to enjoy the great-grandkids occasionally.
Guess I’d better get my walk in because this is going to be another beach day and I want to be ready. I love you and will be back once we get home. Who knows, I just may write on here again before we leave.
