To say we had a great three months in Florida, is putting it very mildly. That seems like a very long time, but it really went by fast. We had some “winter”…Florida style…days but most days it was perfect. The beaches were more crowded than normal but we managed to find a spot to park the car and then just enjoy the sights, and sounds, of the beach every day. We are hoping to get back there for another three months come December…providing we find another rental. Our landlords said they were not renting next season as they were coming there, but they have recently called to say it MAY be available. We will find something but we’d really like to be in the same park we’ve enjoyed these last five years and we now have good friends there.
The ride home was long but, over all, very enjoyable. Doing the back roads does take us longer but the traffic flow is so much simpler…along with very few 18 wheelers…and the sight are interesting. We arrived home on Wednesday and, as usual, it was good to be back and to sleep in our own bed. On Friday, we went to Louisville to see Madi, Julian, Kyle, and Gabby…along with Melissa and Byron…and that was so fun. Madi and Julian live in Ft. Worth and it has been a couple of years since we’ve been with them…about that long since we saw Kyle and Gabby. Crazy COVID kept us all apart far too long.
This week will have George getting checked out my multiple doctors and we’re expecting a good report from all of them. He is doing well and says he’s feeling good. We sure don’t want any repeats of last summer but so thankful for all these gifted doctors that knew how to help save his life.
Guess that’s about it for now. Come on summer as we’ve gotten rather use to the warm, sunny days vs these rainy gloomy days we’re having today. Love to all.
