Here it is January 13th…Friday the 13th no less…and, once more, it’s been several weeks since I’ve posted anything. We are really enjoying our time here in Venice, FL again this season and catching up with our “snowbird” friends has been so much fun. We have had some couples in for a meal, had a couple of meals in their homes, met others at church, and some just having a good visit here in the park. It’s truly amazes me that we can only see these friends once a year and truly feel a close bond with them. I thank God for the bonds of friendship and how very meaningful each person is to my life.
Today we’ve had some heavy rain showers, lots of strong wind, enjoyed a full rainbow early this morning, and now the sun is shining bright so a walk will be in my near future, even though it’s only 66. The wind makes it feel pretty cold and I know it’s not the cold most of the USA is having,, but it is for here. This won’t be a beach day but it’s still a good day. We have been to the beach several times and will continue to go until it’s time to go home.
Our park is currently having their big “Junktique”, aka yard sale, and they have tons of stuff. I went to replace a glass we had broken and came home with an air fryer ($20). I had been thinking about buying one but I’m not sure just how much I will use it. When I saw this, I felt I could give it a try, and if I do use it often, I might buy a better one later. I can sell this for the $20 if I decide to get a different one, so no problem for me. I’d appreciate any good advice on how to use it, etc.
I’m getting my hair trimmed this afternoon and that’s always a little concerning…I just want it shaped back up and not butchered. I don’t have anyone here to cut my hair and I ask the receptionist to make my appointment with someone she would want to cut her hair. So here’s hoping……
Guess I’ll head out for my walk, even in this wind. Pray for all of you to have a great rest-of-the-week and that the approaching winter weather won’t be brutal. I love you all.
