How could almost 3 months have passed so quickly? Our time down here in Florida is rapidly coming to an end…only 16 days before we’ll hit the road. We have had a really great time here again this year. Our neighbors, friends, and about everything has been near perfect. We have even managed to have some winter..Florida style…and many good experiences while sitting on the beach.
I have celebrated my 81st birthday and that was so fun. I wanted to go over to St. Armands (Sarasota area) for a late lunch / early dinner at the Columbia Restaurant there and it was wonderful. That 1905 salad, with shrimp added, was so good and just what I was wanting. Steve and Marilyn Elliott went with us and since it was their first time to go over there, we did a little window shopping..she bought a friend something but she also found out I am not a shopper…a little sight seeing, and even managed to get into the afternoon traffic. We were back at the house in time for George to see Vanna on “The Wheel of Fortune”. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect so it was an amazing birthday.
Tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday and I guess I’ll cheer for Kansas City…really don’t care who wins…because our good friends from here also have a home in Overland Park, KS. I do hope it’ll be a good game and not a one-sided game…those are so boring.
We also celebrated Chase (on the 6th), Tyler (on the 7), Me (on the 8), and Marjorie (on the 9) birthday so this week was a “Happy” week for several family members. I pray we all stay healthy, safe, and close to the Lord as we continue on our journey through life.
Guess that’s about it for now. Have a great rest-of-the-week and may all of you stay warm. We’ll be doing our best to enjoy these warm sunny days to the max. We know cold will still be around once we get home but we do pray it will let spring arrive early. Love to all reading my “grandma” blog.
